摘要: This is the taxonomic study of a novel bacterial strain, designated GSS14(T), isolated from a sediment sample of Yuncheng Salt Lake, China. Cells were Gram-negative, ovoid to rod-shaped and motile by means of flagella. The isolate could grow at 10-45 degrees C, at pH 6.5-11.0 and in the presence of 0-12% (w/v) NaCl. The dominant fatty acids were summed feature 8 (consisting of C-18:1 omega 7c and/or C-18:1 omega 6c; 76.7%) and the DNA G+C content was 61 mol%. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain GSS14(T) was affiliated with the genus Nitratireductor, and it was most closely related to Nitratireductor kimnyeongensis KY 101(T) (98.2% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity) and Nitratireductor aquibiodomus JCM 21793(T) (96.6%). DNA DNA hybridization between strains GSS14(T) and N. kimnyeongensis KY 101(T) revealed 52% relatedness. Phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic data support assignment of this isolate to the genus Nitratireductor as a representative of a novel species. The name Nitratireductor lacus sp. nov. is proposed, with strain GSS14(T) (=KCTC 52186(T)=MCCC 1K02481) as the type strain.
