The secondary production of macrobenthos in Nature Reserve of juvenile Chinese sturgeon Acipenser sinensis and the adjacent waters of Yangtze Estuary

摘要: Based on the macrobenthos collected in 15 stations from May, 2004 to May, 2006 in Nature Reserve of juvenile Chinese sturgeon Acipenser sinensis, the biomass, abundance, productivity and P/B ratio were obtained. The abundance of infauna ranged from 0-110.00 ind/m(2) while the mean abundance was 4.8/ind/m(2). The intensive area was in the outer mouth of north branch and the abundance in summer was the highest, winter the higher, and in autumn the lowest. The biomass ranged from 0-23.70 g/m(2) while the mean biomass was 1.45 g/m(2). The intensive area was in the outer mouth of north branch and the abundance in summer was the highest, in spring the higher, and in winter the lowest. The biomass of epifauna ranged from 0.02-84.89x 10(-2), ind/m(2) while the mean biomass was 15.59 x 10(-2) g/m(2); The intensive area was in the outer mouth of north branch and the biomass in winter was the highest, in summer the higher, and in autumn the lowest; The abundance ranged from 0.86-40.61 x 10(-2) ind/m(2) while the mean abundance was 6.90x10(-2) ind/m(2); The intensive area was in the north branch and the abundance in autumn was the highest, in summer the higher, and in winter the lowest. The P/B ratio of infauna was from 0 to 1.81 a(-1) and the average ration was 0.48 a(-1). The productivity of infauna ranged from 0-2.64g(AFDW)/(m(2).a) while the mean was 0.11 g(AFDW)/(m(2) .a). Furthermore, the high productivity occurred in the mouth of north branch. The productivity of spring had the highest, the summer subordinate to it and the autumn had the lowest. The P/B ratio of epifauna was from 2 0.46-1.12 a(-1) and the average ration value was 0.67 a(-1). The productivity of epifauna ranged from 0.004-2.10 g(AFDW)/(m a) while the mean was 0.59 g(AFDW)/(m(2) .a); The high productivity was in the mouth of north branch.
