Comprehensive Assessment on Ecological Health in Intensive-farmland under Different Tillage and Fertilization Measures: Case Study of Northeast and North Plain and Yangtze Basin of China

摘要: In this study, by building a comprehensive index system for the ecological health evaluation of farmland, the effects of different tillage and fertilization on farmland ecological health were evaluated, with case of Jilin(Northeast Plain), Henan(North Plain) and Jiangsu(Yangtze Basin) province of major grain producing areas in China. The results showed that: (1) under different soil tillage, the best tillage measure (high level of health) was "wide/narrow row alternation planting with subsoiling" in the Northeast Plain; in North Plain, subsoiling in wheat season and no-tillage in maize season can achieve a better level of ecological health; and subsoiling with wheat straw mulching or shallow tillage without wheat straw mulching is better in rice season in Yangtze Basin. (2) under different fertilization, organic manure, microelement fertilizer application and Phosphorus Potassium topdressing can improve the ecological health of farmland in Northeast Plain; in North Plain, organic manure in wheat season + wheat straw mulching in maize season can achieve a high ecological health level; wheat straw mulching in rice season can accelerate the conditions improvement of ecological health to a certain extent in Yangtze Basin. In conclusion, these results show that the evaluation index system have a better applicability for the comprehensive evaluation of different agricultural practices and agriculture technology improvement.
