摘要： In this paper, we present a newly developed fast and sensitive method for the quantification of four Sudan dyes in the brine, using liquid-liquid extraction and HPLC analysis. The samples were extracted with hexane under neutral conditions, cleaned up by the separatory funnel equipped with anhydrous sodium sulfate, and analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection. There are good linear correlations between the peak area and the corresponding concentration of Sudan I - IV in the range of 0.05-1.0 mu g mL(-1) and the correlation coefficients are above 0.9995. Mean recovery for the four Sudan dyes ranged from 78.6% to 95.6%, and with the inter-day and intra-day precisions ranged from 0.2% to 5.1%. The limits of detection LOD of the Sudan I - IV were 0.01 mg kg(-1) and 0.02 mg kg(-1), respectively.
