摘要: 8515 accessions proso millet germplasm had been collected from 23 provinces of China during 22 years, the evaluation of 16 items of agriculture characterization of these germplasm resources have been finished, China proso millet germplasm resources index had been compiled, and the germplasm resource had been stored in the National Genebank for long-term conservation. By quality analyzing (protein, fat, lysine), salt resistance evaluation, dustbrand resistance evaluation for more than 6000 accessions,some elite germplasms with outstanding single character or integrated character were selected. By further study, 5 high yield elite accessions have been applied in production. The three accessions were evaluated as the first grade or the second grade elite germplasm by Ministry of Agriculture, and released to farmers in whole country. By utilizing the elite germplasm, breeding institutes have bred 43 good cultivars, which have become main cultivars in local area, and achieve obvious economic benefit and social benefit.
