Electrochemical assay of bisphenol A based on rGO-Bi2MoO6 composite material modified electrode

摘要: Bisphenol A (BPA) is a toxic phenolic substance that can damage the nervous, reproductive, and immune systems, and the development of detection methods for BPA in real samples is of great significance. In this work, the reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-bismuth molybdate (Bi2MoO6) composite of Bi2MoO6 nanosheets anchored on rGO nanostructures was prepared and characterized. The rGO-Bi2MoO6 modified glass carbon electrode (rGO-Bi2MoO6 /GCE) has a low R-et value of 48.07 Omega and excellent electrocatalytic efficiency for BPA oxidation. Under the optimal conditions, the constructed rGO-Bi2MoO6 /GCE can be used for quantitative analysis of BPA using differential pulse voltammetry, and the peak current of electro oxidation increases linearly with the increase of BPA concentration in the range of 0.02 similar to 10 mu mol/L and 10 similar to 550 mu mol/L with a low detection limit of 7.6 nmol/L. Moreover, the rGO-Bi2MoO6 /GCE exhibits good selectivity, sufficient stability, and satisfactory reproducibility. Quantitative assay of BPA in supermarket receipt and water samples was performed, and acceptable recovery ranging from 98.2 to 104.0 % was achieved with relative standard deviation less than 2.7 %, indicating the promising potential applications of rGO-Bi2MoO6 /GCE.
