Production of matrix certified reference material for analysis of salbutamol residue in mutton

摘要: The illegal use of salbutamol often endangers animal-derived food safety. To ensure food safety, salbutamol drug residue in livestock products has been monitored regular in China. Certified reference material (CRM) which could ensure accurate and reliable measurement results is a powerful tool to improve of the quality and the comparability of analysis and monitor laboratories overall performance. In this study, a matrix CRM [CRM#: GBW 10170] for analysis of salbutamol in mutton was produced. The raw material naturally containing salbutamol that sampled from sheep following oral administration of drug was freeze-dried, ground, sieved and homogenized. A liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometric (LC-MS/MS) with isotope-labeled internal standard method for salbutamol was studied and used for certification, homogeneity and stability testing of the CRM. The certified values of salbutamol in mutton powder CRM was 8.9 +/- 1.0 mu g/kg (coverage factor k = 2, at a confidence level of 95 %). In addition, homogeneity of among bottles and within bottle, long-term stability at 20 degrees C for one year and short-term stability at 4 degrees C and 50 degrees C for 9 days were assessed in detail.
