Poly(ethyleneimine)-functionalized Silica-supported Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Sorbent Prepared by Combining Sol-Gel Method and Hydrothermal-assisted Process

摘要: A novel method of combining sol-gel and hydrothermal-assisted processes was developed to synthesize poly(ethylene-imine)-functionalized silica-supported organic-inorganic hybrid sorbents with high adsorption capacity. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and nitrogen gas sorption were utilized to characterize the hybrid sorbents. Poly(ethyleneimine)-func-tionalized hybrid sorbents had high static adsorption capacity of 91.5mgg~(-1) for Pb(II) ions, displayed stable adsorption in the range of pH 4-8, offered a fast rate, and reached an equilibrium within 20 min.
