摘要： Athlete's heart is a term adapted from human medicine. It describes cardiac changes induced by prolonged and intensive training in the equine athlete. The size of the heart can be measured by echocardiography, and research has shown that size of the left ventricle is significantly correlated with athletic performance in both Standardbreds and Thoroughbreds.
