摘要: An active-learning case for an Intermediate Accounting I course is examined, which involves more than half of the elements of the AICPA Framework. The Case gives the students an opportunity to experience teamwork, prepare written reports, make oral presentations, evaluate other students, and receive peer review. There was a significant difference between the mean scores (p = .01) on Quiz #3 (before Case) and on the Final Exam (after Case). The students “strongly agreed” or “agreed” that this Case increased their understanding of the financial statement analysis topics. The students ranked 94.64% of the expected elements as either “strongly agree/agree.”
