摘要: Eight varieties were used to study the appraisal methods and indexes of low-temperature tolerance of cucumber at seed germination stage . The results showed that the germination index — the relative elongation rate of radicle shows the difference in low-temperature tolerance at 15 ±0.5℃ compare to that at room temperature (25 ±0.5℃). The optional identification stage was during 36-48 h after seed soaking. The application of germinating seeds after seed soaking for 36 h suggested that the elongation rate of radicle during resuming period after 24 h (2. 5 ±0.5℃) treatment reflected the low-temperature tolerance of tested variety. Seed germination index, and the relative elongation of radicle in the test constituted an appraisal system that could explore cucumber low-temperature tolerance correctly.
